Tigers on the brink, facing up to the challenge in Greater Mekong: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam

ຈັດພິມໂດຍ: Open Development Mekong

A report about the rapid population decline and conservation needs of Indochinese tigers. The report describes the trends in population decline and the reasons behind this: habitats shrinking with economic development and increasing demand for tigers for traditional medicines and wild meat. The report also describes potential conservation areas which are global priorities for tiger conservation. The author advocates for a number of measures to stabilise the tiger population, including implementation of bans on trade in tiger products and reconnecting forest habitat.
