Sub-decree no. 83 on the determination of the right to use and benefit from state land in the buffer zone of the flooded forest (Zone 2) around Tonle Sap Lake in Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Kampong Thom provinces

This sub-decree shows the buffer zone of the flooded forest (Zone 2) around Tonle Sap Lake in Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Kampong Thom provinces under the administration of the Provincial Administration and the State Land Management Committee in provincial level. The provincial administration and the provincial land management committee have the duties, and responsibilities for the management and maintenance and shall take immediate legal action in case of any activities that affect the Zone 2 in each province. Land encroachment and destruction of flooded forests in Zone 2 are prohibited. All new construction of canals by the community or by local authorities must be approved in advance by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.
