Alex Corporation Co., LTD has invested US$ 119,146,000. The company has experience in the construction of coal-fired power lines and hydropower projects. The 230-kV transmission line project is proposed to build 426 power poles with a total length of 198 km. The company needs domestic and foreign labor force up to 300 to 400 people, of which 10% are foreign workers.

This transmission line project provides job opportunities and income: - During the construction phase, some people may be selected to work as construction workers according to their professional level. - It is easy to do business because when there is enough electricity, people can sell at night, can travel at night, and sales grow more than before.

The required domestic and foreign labor force is 300 to 400 people, of which 10% are foreign workers.

During the construction phase, a number of construction activities, such as land clearing, land reclamation, construction of workers' shelters, transportation of materials, etc., may affect physical, biological and socio-economic. Measures to reduce some of the side effects​ are identified as well.

The 230 kV transmission line project will affect 1,318 households in 3 provinces, 7 districts and 19 communes. The study on compensation costs varies from region to region and from village to village. The company will have a plan to deal with these affected plots of land and dwellings, with compensation based on actual costs. According to the results of the compensation, the company has settled for the people in Kampong Speu about 22 percent, Sihanoukville 100 percent, and Koh Kong 100 percent.
