Lao PDR Country Report

This report provides a comprehensive picture of the infrastructure situation and policy in LAO PDR and gives an analysis of fundamental problems. Laos aims to achieve its ambitious goal of graduating from its Least Developed Country status by 2020. Relatedly, in its seventh National Socio-Economic Development Plan (NSEDP 2011-2015), the country also targets a growth of above 8 percent. To attain these, one of the main driving forces on the demand side is the surge in infrastructure investment.
