The guidelines are primarily expected to enhance the safety, security, and efficiency of banking and financial institutions' business operations, which will benefit BFIs and their customers. The progress of implementing these guidelines should be monitored by the top management on an ongoing basis and a review of the implementation status may be put to the Board every year.
