Evidence of water quality degradation in Lower Mekong Basin revealed by self organizing map
Globally, water resources are significantly threatened by various anthropogenic activities,including climate change which is particularly intense in tropical regions, and notably Asia. As a result, many rivers in the region are grossly polluted and huge portions of their drainage basins and floodplains have been deforested or otherwise degraded.
