Pattern of land cover change in the Lower Mekong Basin, the role of mesoscale approaches

A summary of 2006 PhD thesis about the role of mesoscale approaches in the pattern of land cover change in the Lower Mekong Basin. The author of the thesis seeks to generate a comparable information base about land cover change on a mesoscale level for the entire Lower Mekong Basin. The study applies cross-tabulation matrix analysis, spatial modelling and multivariate statistics, and argues that regional-level or mesoscale approaches offer potential for land cover research.
