Land consolidation result in Nam Dinh province

The implementation of land consolidation has partially overcome the situation of agricultural land fragmentation in the localities across the country, bringing efficiency to land users. Nam Dinh is a province with 3/9 districts to complete land consolidation, but still 6/9 districts are facing some difficulties in some steps of this process. The survey is therefore highly practical because it suggests solutions to improve land consolidation of the province. The survey result shows that after land consolidation, the number of land plots per household has decreased significantly (average number of land plots in the whole province is 2) and brought high economic efficiency for land users. However, it is still limited that the area of agricultural production decreased; slow progress in granting land use right certificates and irrigation system. Therefore, the authorities must speed up the certification process, improve the transport system and support policies for households that receive bad land after the consolidation.
