Report on monitoring and assessment of the policy implementation by the government in the 5th legislature first year
The Royal Government of Cambodia for the 5th mandate was established on 24 September 2013 by the supporting vote of the National Assembly. The government's political platform laid out four prioritized sectors: 1-national defense and public order, 2-Improvement and enforcement of public administration, 3-economic development, and 4-development in education, health, employment, culture and social affairs. However, of all, COMFREL only found 16 points with clear indicators coming from the last two sector, which is subject to a study of this report. As a result, the committee found that only 6 points of the total 16 points, equivalent to 37.5%, were completed and achieved by the government such as the annual economic growth of 7%, annual rate of the poverty reduction by 1%, postponement to grant new social land concessions, improvement of the local roads, preparation of the policy for urban transportation and the targeted growing number of tourists.
