Community empowerment in support of community fisheries: A case study in Stung Treng, Cambodia
This report is about a case study conducted in Stung Treng province on community empowerment in support of community fisheries. The case study was framed to perform only in Koh Sneng village, Koh Sneng commune, Thalaborivat district, Stung Treng province, Cambodia. The case study has illustrated how community people are empowered to fight against illegal fishing, illegal logging activities in their own communities. The mechanisms for empowering the community people include the community capacity building and the setting up of a network which will cooperate with organization partners and increase livelihoods in the community and the conservation of natural resources.
