The Unrepresented Nations and People's Organization (UNPO) is an International, Non-violent and Democratic Membership Organization. Its Members are indigenous peoples, minorities, and unrecognised or occupied territories who aim to protect and promote their human and cultural rights, and to find nonviolent solutions to the conflicts which affect them. Myanmar's Ethnic Minorities are grouped primarily according to Region, rather than linguistic or ethnic affiliation. There are an estimated 130 Minority groups in Myanmar, most of whom live in isolation from the National majority group, the Burmans.
