Name Situation analysis: Stung Treng province, Cambodia
Description

Cambodia's Stung Treng province plays very important roles for livelihoods and biodiversity conservation. People who live inside and around the area may get access to a range of benefits: fuel for cooking and heating; plants and wildlife as traditional medicine to treat diseases; timber for housing and furniture; basic foods such as rice, fish, meat, fruits and vegetables; water for cooking and cleaning; sand and stones for building; and waterways for transport. The Ramsar site in the province has numerous tributaries (about 40) flowing into it, of which the Sekong River is the largest tributary contributing about 16.7% of the Mekong's total flow.
